I.C.M. INDUSTRY

INDUSTRIA CHIMICA MEDITERRANEA has been founded in 1952. The merchandise sectors originally served are the wood and laminated plastic industries, footwear industry, paper and cardboard industries, furniture and upholstered industries. Its tenacious presence in the market rapidly made its name, and its best sellers brands, synonymous of high quality and reliability.

PLASTIK, pride of I.C.M.’s solvent base production, imposed itself as point of reference for the bonding of laminated plastic thanks to its spreadability and versatility. To ICM’s success contributed also the spray adhesives: Recol and Aktiv, solvent base spray adhesive, and Simalfa®, ecologic water base spray adhesive; as well as a diversified and complete vinyl acetate range of glues specific for wood, Medivil and Plastikvin. Completion of the adhesives’ range, there are all the products for the footwear industry: Medicol, Medipur, and Medilatex.

In 1992 I.C.M.’s assortment of products has been enlarged with the production of fabrics for toe-puffs and counters known in the market with the brand “PUNTALI FIORE”. What seemed to be an audacious bet, thanks to the experience and the knowledge reached during the years, becomes soon a natural crossing in a similar merchandise sector. Nowadays I.C.M. is a solid reality esteemed for both its lines of production.
